Backend Engineer Python (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- The team is closely associated with Biomedical Research within our BigPharma client
- They support scientists with solutions to identify hits in large libraries of samples from testing in cellular assays or with help of DNA-encoded library technologies at any scale
- Their focus is on software solutions for streamlining scientific processes and workflows thinking start to end, which includes capturing and processing raw data, metadata and derived data generated by instruments during screening or obtained from intermediate analyses
- They aim at applying and leveraging leading edge architecture and software technologies
- Their goal is to combine use-case specific applications with optimized technical backend platforms to eventually compose final solutions for scientists to accelerate drug discovery
Profile
- Knowledge in Python core backend with Numpy and Pandas are required, Dask
- Knowledge in ORM such as SQLAlchemy for system integration
- Experience in Python with a focus on workflow management systems and DAG development, Apache Airflow, concurrent tasks management at scale
- Knowledge about the AWS stack, especially non-SQL high performance stores, hence a general understanding of KV-stores, wide-column stores or graphs is therefore very beneficial
- Experience in backend implementation and integration with other components provided by teammates
