Core IP Engineer (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the core IP network
- Ensure network scalability and performance through capacity planning
- Align network plans with business objectives, working with various teams
- Design network architecture for optimal performance, reliability, and security
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve infrastructure
- Configure and deploy core IP network equipment like routers, switches, and firewalls
- Perform network upgrades and optimizations for growth and security
- Implement security solutions to protect against cyber threats
- Manage daily network operations, including monitoring and incident response
- Develop and enforce network security policies and best practices
Profile
- Solid experience in IP networks, with a focus on network security
- Preferred certifications: CCNP Security, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent
- Proven expertise in network planning, design, and operations
- Strong knowledge of IP networking principles, protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS), and services
- Proficiency in network security technologies (firewalls, VPNs, CGNAT, encryption)
- Experience with network monitoring tools (Wireshark, Librenms, Grafana, Telegraph, Nagios)
- Familiarity with automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) advantageous
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of French and German advantageous
