Responsibilities

The company is looking for a structured and competent Group Financial Controller to be part of their accounting team. The team's primary function is to ensure that there is always a balanced raw balance in all the Group's companies. This involves daily bookkeeping tasks, VAT reports, salary reconciliations, etc.

You will report to the Group Accounting Team Leader and will be part of the company's Finance Shared Service Center (SSC), which consists of Finance, Business Intelligence, and IT, which collectively reports to the CFO.

The role is based at their Corporate Office in Copenhagen with very good transportation possibilities, close to the highway, metro, and bus. Additionally, at least 10 travel days per year are required, however, should you wish to travel more and are driven by travelling, you are able to work from the offices abroad.

You will be responsible for your own portfolio of companies and thus your own tasks and areas of responsibility. Your primary tasks will consist of the following:
  • Monthly reconciliations and analytical review of the trial balance of your portfolio of companies
  • Development and streamlining of tasks and methods for reconciliation procedures
  • Budget tracking
  • Cash management 
  • Tasks in connection with the implementation of an ERP system
  • Backup for other companies
  • Preparing material for Audit
  • VAT declarations and reports
  • Ad hoc tasks

Profile

  • You have an educational background in finance
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Familiarity with Microsoft D365 and/or AX (an advantage, but not mandatory)
  • Familiarity with Swedish and/or French companies are an advantage but not a requirement  
  • In addition, you are someone that:
  • Follows your tasks through and does not compromise on the quality of your work
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is outgoing and does not shy away from being an ambassador of finance externally in the organization
  • Is adaptable and detail-oriented
  • Is self-motivated, solution-driven and takes initiative
  • Is able to maintain an overview in a busy everyday life, and are able to see opportunities for optimization in a department undergoing change
