Principal Photonics Process Integration Expert (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Lead process development and start ramping up of new photonics technologies
- Develop and qualify new or derivative Si-based processes in photonics technologies, especially integrating heterogeneous epitaxy process
- Define process specifications by identifying and monitoring key process parameters and correlate device to process characteristics for optical elements
- Lead projects and cross-functional teams to optimize process integration, evaluate and define best-known-method (BKM), determine process specification to meet required device specification
- Investigate and introduce new “more-than-Moore” processes, process modules and technology roadmaps in support of new device manufacturing platforms, while evaluate photonics manufacturing equipment, materials, experiments and methods
- Cooperate with internal and external research institutions for new Photonics processes introduction and optimization
Profile
- Master or PhD Degree in Electrical / Physics / Chemical Engineering
- In-depth working knowledge of semiconductor device physics and process integration, especially deep knowledge of Photonics devices
- Over 10 years of experience in Si with epitaxy processing, preferably in Wafer Fab for optical & photonics applications
- In-line Process Integration experience, using methods and tools for evaluation and data processing, e.g. wafers parametric testing, process monitoring structures and in-line readings to correlate process and device characteristics, so as to improve process stability, yield, reliability, and production cost
- Effective team player with leadership attitudes in a multi-cultural environment with can-do spirit, and willing to step out of comfort zone for extra mile
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, additionally German and/or Chinese is a plus
- Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally for joint cooperation abroad
