About the company

We are looking for a Sales Director Scandinavia to one of the leading manufacturers of safety shoes in Europe.

Responsibilities

This is a newly created position to support the current Sales Manager in Denmark and develop the Scandinavian market. The office is located in Southern Jutland, but you are not required to be at the office more than once every week or every two weeks, as the estimated travel activity is 3-4 timer per week to visit customers – which gives you a lot of flexibility and freedom to plan your own working week. 

As the new Sales Director Scandinavia your duties and responsibilities will encompass:

  • Driving sales for the assigned sales territories. 
  • Responsible for promoting the employees and providing sales support where necessary. 
  • Monitoring the company's order processing and involving the CEO if difficulties arise. 
  • Driving sales in Denmark and other Nordic countries.
  • Recognizing the purchasing policy behavior of the customers and informs the CEO of any observations in order to help adjust the company's sales strategy. 
  • Recording visit reports and route planning in accordance with company regulations. 
  • Planning visits and prepare them carefully, tailoring to the circumstances of the individual customers.
  • Acquiring new customers independently or in consultation with the CEO.
  • Preparing offers or arranging them to be prepared by the office staff, submits them, negotiates them and monitors their development. 
  • Maintaining e-mail correspondence and providing transparent insights. 
  • Working cooperatively with the office and field staff to resolve any problems immediately. 
  • Participating in trade fairs. 
  • Being informed about the state of the art in sales technology, undergoes further professional training on the own initiative and thus ensures that the standard of negotiation is always in line with the market.

Profile

To succeed in this role your ideal qualifications are:

  • Bachelor’s degree within trade, commercial or sales. 
  • 5-7 years of experience within sales.
  • Preferably experience within the industry of safety gear (shoes, gloves, glasses, or helmets).
  • Knowledge about the market and the Nordic countries.
  • Being well prepared, structured and can create tailor-made solutions for each customer based on their specific needs.
  • Being responsible for planning your own working week and routes.
  • Being able to work independently and proactively.
  • Fluent in written and spoken Danish and English
  • German, Swedish, Norwegian is considered a plus, but not a must.
