Responsibilities
- Collaboration & Requirements Gathering
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather and understand requirements for new components
- Frontend Development - Design and develop new frontend components using React and Gatsby, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with DatoCMS. Component Library Management
- Audit and review the existing component library to identify opportunities for optimization or refactoring
- Update and enhance legacy components to improve performance, maintainability, and compatibility with the latest DatoCMS features
- UI/UX Improvements - Implement UI/UX enhancements based on user feedback and design guidelines. Workflow Automation
- Set up and configure workflow automation using tools like n8n to streamline content publishing and data management processes within DatoCMS
- Production Monitoring - Monitor the performance of DatoCMS components in production, promptly identifying and resolving any issues
Profile
- Frontend & Backend: Extensive experience with React, Gatsby, and Node.js, covering both frontend and backend development
- Advanced Proficiency: Skilled in custom schema design, query optimization and integrating GraphQL with headless CMS platforms like DatoCMS
- In-Depth Knowledge: Expertise in setting up and managing content structures and entities, with a focus on frontend representation using DatoCMS or similar platforms
- Process Automation: Proficient in using tools like n8n to automate workflows, particularly for content publishing and data management
- Deployment Processes: Comprehensive experience in CI/CD pipelines, version control, and production monitoring, ensuring smooth end-to-end deployment
- Solo Development: Demonstrated ability to independently manage all phases of the development lifecycle
