SMT Process Technician (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Develop machine programs and work instructions for state-of-the-art pick and place machines and automated optical inspections tools (e. g. ASMPT, Pemtron)
- Program, debug, setup, operate and maintain equipment, e.g. pick and place equipment, reflow ovens, screen printers, and solder paste inspection equipment
- Develop and perform setup and change over procedures on equipment to be ready for the next sample build
- Troubleshoot, identify root cause, and document defective products or process failures with results from failure analysis
- Evaluate customer products for quality during manufacturing and take appropriate actions to resolve issues and improve qualify existing products
- Operate production equipment and perform sample builds when required
Profile
- Completed qualification as Technician in Electronics or Mechatronics
- More than 3 years of experience in high-tech industrial areas (e.g. semiconductor, automotive or similar industry)
- Practical experience in semiconductor packaging technologies is a plus
- Familiar with operation of typical back-end semiconductor assembly machines
- Knowledge of programming of SMT pick and place machines and automated optical inspections tools will be highly appreciated
- Deep interest in understanding of process requirements as well as tool capabilities
- Proficient level of speaking and writing in English and/or German
- High flexibility and motivated to handle multiple tasks
- Can-do spirit, and willing to step out of comfort zone for extra mile
- Effective team player with willingness to cooperate and participate in multi-cultural teams
