Welche Chancen hat ein Group Accountant auf dem Arbeitsmarkt?

Mit einem erfolgreich abgeschlossenen wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Studium und/oder einer Weiterbildung zum Bilanzbuchhalter/zur Bilanzbuchhalterin haben Sie beste Aussichten als Group Accountant auf dem Arbeitsmarkt. Ein Plus sind mehrjährige Berufserfahrung in einer Wirtschaftsprüfungs- oder Steuerberatungsgesellschaft bzw. im Bereich Konsolidierung eines Industrieunternehmens.

Exzellente IFRS- und HGB-Kenntnisse, sehr gute MS-Office-Kenntnisse und hervorragende Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift erhöhen Ihre Chancen. Ob Vollzeit oder Teilzeit, die Jobchancen für Konzernbuchhalter und Konzernbuchhalterinnen sind vor allem in Großstädten wie Berlin oder den Ballungszentren in Nordrhein-Westfalen vielversprechend. 

Was sind die Aufgaben und Tätigkeiten eines Group Accountant?

Zu den Aufgaben und Tätigkeiten eines Group Accountant gehören die Erstellung von Monats-, Quartals- und Jahresabschlüssen nach HGB und IFRS sowie je nach Konzern die Betreuung der konzerneigenen Gesellschaften im Ausland. Zudem ist ein Group Accountant verantwortlich für die Überwachung und Koordination der einzelnen Budgets und Finanzplanung. 

Zusammengefasst bedeutet dies:

  • Vorbereitung der Monats-, Quartals- und Jahresabschlüsse der verschiedenen Gesellschaften und des Konzernabschlusses
  • Durchführung von diversen Konsolidierungsschritten
  • Ansprechpartner für Fachbereiche und Tochter- bzw. Auslandsgesellschaften
  • Übernahme von Sonderthemen/Sonderprojekten im Finanzbereich
  • Bearbeitung steuerlicher Fragestellungen in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Steuerberater bzw. den Finanzbehörden
  • Aktive Mitarbeit bei der kontinuierlichen Optimierung der Finanzprozesse des Unternehmens

Welche Hard Skills und Soft Skills sollte ein Group Accountant mitbringen?

Als Group Accountant benötigen Sie ein abgeschlossenes betriebswirtschaftliches/wirtschaftswissenschaftliches Studium oder eine vergleichbare Ausbildung mit Schwerpunkt Finanz- und Rechnungswesen, Steuern. Sichere Kenntnisse in HGB und IFRS werden vorausgesetzt.

WAS VERDIENT EIN GROUP ACCOUNTANT DURCHSCHNITTLICH?

Das Gehalt eines Group Accountants kann je nach Branche, Einsatzort und Erfahrung variieren. In Deutschland liegt das durchschnittliche Bruttojahresgehalt für diese Position (bei Festanstellung) etwa zwischen 60.000 und 80.000  Euro, wobei man als Junior Group Accountant natürlich weniger verdient als als Senior Group Accountant. Auch zusätzliche Faktoren wie Boni beeinflussen das Accountant Gehalt zum Teil erheblich.
