WHAT ARE THE TASKS OF A WORK PLANNER?

Work preparation is the interface between design and production. Manufacturing and production planners (m/f/d) are characterized by high analytical skills. They work independently and in a structured manner. The work alternates between planning production processes with industry-specific software and monitoring production on the shop floor. This makes the job in work preparation very varied, but also requires a high degree of flexibility

The main tasks in work preparation are:

  • Correcting problems or errors in the production process

Which hard skills and soft skills should work planners have?

Excellent analytical skills are one of the basic requirements for a job in work preparation. You should also have completed a technical education. In many companies, attendance at a technical college or university is required.

Also required are:

  • Very good computer skills, especially in MS Office, CAD, ERP and SAP, other industry-specific software skills.
  • Pronounced interest in process engineering tasks.
  • Possibly REFA certificate
  • Knowledge of English when working in internationally operating companies
  • Initiative, ability to work in a team, strong communication skills and assertiveness
  • Commitment and inventiveness

The starting salary is 43,000 euros per year. The average salary is around 50,000 euros, with top salaries at 56,000 euros. The highest salaries are paid in Frankfurt/Main and Munich.
