BEV charging validation engineer (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Define charging validation strategy together with the function owner and global charging team
- Define charging interoperability routes in Europe and overseas in alignment with the function owner and global charging team
- Prepare test vehicles for test executions: SW/HW definition, datalogging toolchain readiness, issue troubleshooting
- Conduct different types of charging tests (Interoperability, Performance, conformance) required to evaluate the maturity of the charging hardware and software, both via test bench simulation and charging infrastructure
- Work closely together with the global charging team and function owner to identify market concerns and define efficient solutions
- Benchmarking of the charging capability of other OEMs
- Report expedition or validation status and escalate blocking points to line manager and project manager
Profile
- Hands-on experience in the field of BEV charging validation
- Experience with tools such as CANoe Pro, DSA
- Good understanding of vehicle CAN communication and different charging standards such as SAE J1772, ISO 15118, IEC 62196
- Experience in conducting vehicle testing & expedition drives
- Enthusiasm and passion to drive and develop cars
- Open minded, solution driven, highly motivated engineer
- Excellent communicator with an open and structured mindset / Fluent in English, German would be a plus
- High level of engagement to identify issues and drive resolution
- Positive attitude and flexible regarding travels in EU and overseas
- EU driving license
